She‘s A Survivor

Listen Later

If you think surviving 2020 was hard, this week we tell you stories of women who survived some of the most prolific serial killers in history. These ladies endured the unthinkable and lived to tell the tale.  Nydia tells us about the incredible case of Lisa McVey Noland, the 17 year old survivor who brought serial killer Bobby Joe Long to justice.  Dana shares the story of CeeJai Julian who survived Canada’s Pig Farm Killer, Robert Pickton. Cindy tells us how Tiffany Taylor thwarted budding New Jersey serial killer, Khalil Wheeler-Weaver’s plans and brought his killing spree to a halt.

For dinner this week, Cindy prepared a Canadian meat pie known as tourtiere, to keep in theme with Dana’s story. For dessert, she made us a glazed donut bread pudding, to keep in theme with Nydia’s story. The meal was paired with a 2016 Stephane-Aviron Beaujolais, a wine that is low in tannins and strong on fruit flavor without being overly sweet.
