Joe Coffey | Suffering is one of the best and most terrible gifts God gives us. No one wants to experience suffering, yet when we do, we often find that God uses it to show what we truly believe and truly love. Suffering can make us angry or confused, but it can also make us better friends, neighbors, mentors and humans. Most importantly, it shows us the nature of our hearts, others’ hearts and God’s heart with a clarity we can scarcely experience otherwise.
