Richo Cech is an archaeologist and ethnobotanist who began cultivating and saving the seeds of medicinal plants. Richo is internationally recognized as an expert on medicinal plant domestication, cultivation, processing, and usage. He has botanized worldwide and is responsible for introducing numerous unique introductions, rare plants, and many common medicinal plants and permacultural trees, which are currently conserved and multiplied in his greenhouses and gardens. Over the years, his gardens have become the basis for Strictly Medicinal Seeds, growers of organic, open-pollinated, and GMO-free seeds and plants of medicinal herbs, aromatics, succulents, and permaculture perennials. Richo and his family produce a famous yearly, hand-illustrated seed catalog that provides access to this collection of familiar, quirky, eclectic, and bizarre seeds and plants. His books include 'Making Plant Medicine' (2000), 'Growing At-Risk Medicinal Herbs' (2002/2017), and 'Growing Plant Medicine' (2022). He just published 'Growing Plant Medicine Vol 2'.
