Dr. Chris McNeil is the esteemed Director of Career and Technical Education at Kansas City Public Schools. Recently crowned as the Wahl Man of the Year, Chris has been recognized for his extraordinary community work, earning a Grand Prize of $20,000 and an additional $5,000 for his charity, 'Books and Barbers.' This unique initiative reflects his passion for youth mentorship, offering haircuts, books, and guidance to elementary students within the district.
Under his leadership, KCKPS has been a frontrunner in providing college- and career-ready curriculum, starting from middle school and extending to high school. The programs, in partnership with the Kauffman Foundation Real-World Learning Initiative, are designed to ensure that each student graduates with at least one market value asset, preparing them for successful careers or higher education pursuits.
