Sean Phillips and Ed Brubaker have a new project that will be released as a series of standalone graphic novels. The format and intent of the "Reckless" series reminds me a bit of the European album tradition, even if the physical format isn't quite so large.

Other professionals are considering OGNs now, too. The only growth in comics is in the book market for younger readers, which is filled with stand-alone books.

We're moving closer to the European model, folks....
