Dr. Khan is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Copenhagen and is leading a European Union-funded project on language policy and countering violent-extremism in the UK and Denmark. He has previously worked on projects around language learning in relation to citizenship and integration in the UK and Spain. He gained his PhD at the University of Birmingham (UK) and the University of Melbourne (Australia) and he is the author of 'Becoming a Citizen: Linguistic Trials and Negotiations' (Bloomsbury, 2019). His interests include language assessment, notions of becoming and security.
