One day, the Israelites were standing on the shore of the Red Sea, watching God part it.

Three days later, they are walking in the desert, complaining about where they will find water to drink.

It only took 3 days for the miracle of the Red Sea to become a memory.

It looks 3 days to forget that the same God who could part water could also provide it.

And if it took 3 days for the Israelites, how much quicker do we forget God's faithfulness today?

There are two ditches we can fall into on in being a witness.

The first is focusing only on escaping hell.

The second is focusing only on getting to heaven.

But the Gospel is the news that God's Kingdom is both here and on the way. It's too close to be ignored. It's both repentance and renewal. It's both Heaven and Earth.

And we get to live within that tension as God's people.

And it's that tension that makes our witness beautiful to the world.

The Good News of Jesus and His Kingdom doesn't just make for a beautiful eternity.

It makes for a beautiful life, here and now.

And it turns out that a beautiful life now is one of our greatest acts of being a witness.

Because a good life leads to questions.

And when questions come, we get to share the reason for the hope that lives within us.

One of the best questions we can ask as witnesses is this:

Jesus, what are You already doing? And how can I join You?

Because everyday we awake to a world that God is already active in. He's already speaking and stirring within people's hearts.

We just need eyes to see what He is already doing.

And then, choose to join Him.

Luke tells us the mission of Jesus was "to seek and to save the lost."

But, Luke also shows us Jesus' method for this mission:

Eating and drinking.

Jesus constantly used the table as a sacred place of ministry. And He shows us that we can do the same.

To be a witness is, at its core, an act of love.

It's not transactions that compel us to witness.

It's not irritation or frustration that compels.

It's love.

The Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom is good news.

And good news is meant to be shared.

That's why we're taking time to see what it means to be a witness of Jesus and the Good News of His Kingdom.

The Tower of Babel is a case study in how quickly we can go from God's mandate to our own agenda.

At the Tower of Babel, humanity chooses to build up.

But at the Garden of Eden, God creates humanity to build out.

And those two are vastly different.

We took some time to look at this simple idea:

If you neglect this season for the next season, both seasons spoil.

The question we have to answer is:

How do we remain present to this season, and receive what God is doing right here and right now?

What do you do when you've tried before and it didn't work out?

How do you trust Jesus to let down your net again, even when you fished all night and caught nothing?
