While salvation is an amazing gift from God, which is given not because of our works, but for good works that God already prepared for us, it also means that we need to work out our own salvation. What does that mean?   In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul wrote about this matter in verses talking about Light Bearers. In the message titled, “Shine as Lights,” Ps. Heath Flanagan explains to us three areas of the Christian life we need to focus on in order to shine in this world. According to today’s verses, these three areas are 1) The Work, 2) The Walk, and 3) The Word.  It seems like it is a hard thing to do, but Paul already mentioned, in the previous verses, about the example of obedience and humility that Jesus demonstrated. Moreover, we need to know that it is not a lonely walk of faith for God is with us, and will enable us to finish the work and the walk with His guidance.
