Antarctica, the frozen continent, the most barren landscape known to man…. There’s nothing down there except Ice, several scientific research based outposts, a waterfall that flows with the blood of tortured souls, and penguins. OR IS THERE…. Of course we know Antarctica is a wild place, maybe the wildest of them all. Perhaps it is our lack of knowledge on the place which makes it so intriguing to those of us who have heard the rumors. Or tales of strange phenomena taking place around or on this uninhabited continent. Really, when it comes right down to it, and if you’ve been paying attention. We don’t know much, and we aren’t told much, because nobody is allowed in! Or over for that matter, it’s a pretty exclusive club. We also know that thanks to friend of the show Pires Reis, someone not all that long ago, knew of Antarctica in a time BEFORE there was a nice frosting of ice several miles deep covering the southern pole and surrounding areas. There are many many odd things about that large swath of land way way down under. Come join in on the fun this week as Science Scott and The Pirate Chef try to unravel some of its mysteries.
