Psychological experiments can be looked at several ways. Especially when considering the reasons they are being conducted. Is it for the enrichment of people, to better understand what it is that makes us tick or what could help us be happier? Or is it to understand how we think, and how we can be manipulated into certain behavioral patterns? Maybe benevolent, maybe sinister, or maybe just for the sake of science. The first true psychological experiments were thought to be performed by Wilhelm Wundt in 1879, and since then countless studies have taken place. One such experiment was conducted by Stanley Milgram and it produced some WILD results. The testing took place in the early 1960’s with the purpose of testing peoples obedience to authority figures, and the resulting outcome was nothing short of shocking (there’s a pun here, tune in to enjoy). So please, join us for the ride as we go down the rabbit hole on how humans react to authority figures and the propensity to obey when you are told to do so. It should give you all some insight to things that are still taking place in our current state of affairs. THEY LIVE might just be a documentary… CHEERS!!!
