Soundarya Lahari — Nada Jnana Sudha

Shloka 40: Tatittvantam Shaktya - Raga Khamach

Listen Later

In the fortieth shloka of Soundaryalahari, Adi Shankara reveals the descent of Shiva-Shakti from the Anahata Chakra to the Manipura Chakra, governed by the Apa (water) element. Here, Shiva is revered as Megheshvara—the dark-blue rain cloud—while Shakti shines as Saudamini, a brilliant flash of lightning. Together, their divine union brings a cooling shower of grace, soothing the fiery forces of annihilation.

Meditate upon this cosmic couple in the Manipura Chakra with the vibrant Raga Khamach, and pray for Shiva-Shakti to dispel the darkness of the lower chakras, guiding you toward the radiant light of divine wisdom.
