Today is January 19, 2017. Travel back with me to this day in 1932. We’re again visiting our favorite Commissioner, Kenesaw Mountain Landis. Today, as we congratulate Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez on their selection to the Hall of Fame, we travel back to examine the story of Shoeless Joe Jackson, whose pure baseball ability was more than sufficient to earn him a spot in the Hall, but whose off-the-field mistakes have almost certainly ensured that he will never be enshrined in Cooperstown.
