The Spirit that God supplies is intimately involved in our daily lives, from the time we heard the gospel and believed, right through our sufferings in Christ to ending this race in the Spirit. He portrays Jesus Christ before our eyes as crucified; he works miracles through us and maintains us by faith in Jesus Christ

In Galatians 2 and 3 we continue with Paul encouraging the churches to keep standing in the truth of the gospel. The churches are moving from faith in Jesus Christ to the works of the law, because of various pressures in their society. It applies to us today, and Holy Spirit asks us: did Jesus die in vain? Right standing with God only comes by believing and receiving His grace, not by adding our works to it

Paul contends for the truth of the gospel against persecution from false brethren, preaching another gospel that is not rooted in the cross of Christ. Paul stands for unity in the global Church across all ethnicities in line with Jesus's prayer: Father let them be one, as we are one

Paul is contending for the good news received from Jesus Christ by revelation, that Jesus was crucified in our place and resurrected from the dead. This faith in the Lord Jesus is against our reliance on culture and forefathers. It is the gospel of truth and it is precious and glorious

Being rooted in the cross of Jesus Christ, is the answer against turning away from Christ, for the churches of Galatia. They have listened to false apostles, preaching another gospel. God is turning against them and the false apostles. The way out is to be a bondservant of Jesus Christ and identify with Him in His triumphal resurrection

Paul is closing the letter of 2 Corinthians, declaring that he is nothing, that he does not seek their stuff but them, that he and the others with him model walking in the spirit. He also expresses his fears for the Church, not loving God and as a result not loving one another and finally regressing again into sexual sins. He reminds them that Christ is speaking in him and that he is weak so that they can be strong. As with Christ he will pour out his life for them and spend and be spent

Paul is playing satire with the church of Corinth. He is playing the fool, asking them to tolerate him as they do those that make Paul out to be a fool. He puts all his pressures, without and within, into the eternal nature of God, blessing Him. Where the culture of the day celebrated wisdom and power, Paul celebrates foolishness and weakness within God's eternal nature

Paul is picturing himself as a father being jealous with regards to his daughter (the church of Corinth), that is betrothed to her future husband (Jesus Christ). He is concerned that, as Eve was seduced by Satan, the church will be seduced by another Jesus, being preached by the false apostles of the time

Paul is encouraging the Corinthian church by Christ's meekness and gentleness to stay focused in spiritual growth and not get entangled with this natural world and its demands for physical appearance. Only when their obedience as a church has come to the full, can God entrust them with more of His kingdom

Paul speaks on the character of Christ being formed in His church as they steward well the grace that God has given them
