As Sahil Bloom says, we can increase our luck by increasing our "luck surface area" -- this means giving ourselves access to more opportunities based on where we live, who we know, and how prepared we are.

Opportunity comes to those who are prepared and bold. We must lay the groundwork by educating ourselves, acquiring skills, and practicing for countless hours. That way, when that opportunity comes, you'll be ready to seize it.

Closed mouths don't get fed. So if you want something in this life, you need to go after it with confidence and preparation.
