A teen girl was critically injured in a shooting in south Kansas City on Friday, and another teen was also injured in the incident[2]. Additionally, a man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing a woman in Kansas City, Missouri[1].

Moving on to our job market snapshot, we have some positive news. A new project in Platte City is expected to generate 245 new jobs, which is a significant boost to our local economy[2].
