There is only a short distance
between her long, first glance and yours
love can happen in an instant
and last a lifetime when secured
Loneliness is no short journey
and it can often obscure
clues of love, one feels unworthy
but love is patient rest assured
I once met a gorgeous lady
a Goddess, way out of my league
but she asked if we could go out
cause she was so lonely …go Fig??
Guys would always overlook her
thinking that they had no chance
leaving her a lonely lady
hoping for some sweet romance
She went on to be a model
deadlines and commitments …yet
we shared months of eager passion
that I never will forget.
" oh, I'll never forget!!
Heh, heh, heh, heh!!
Because she chose to cross that distance
taking action lest love fade
on the path of least resistance
getting love for love she gave.
Often love can come with detours
it’s not perfect it has faults
but when you find that special true love
two hearts will turn in somersaults
Do not hesitate if someone
you're attracted to, is too
hoping you will find the courage
to leap that distance and pursue.
Nothing else on earth can beat it
Money, fame, and power pale,
without love your just a pauper
unknown and broke and so damn frail
It is only a short distance
between her first long, glance and yours

If you’re lonely it’s the only cure
let it blossom and mature
encourage him…encourage her
and then your true love will endure.
