It has been way too long since the last episode, but I have a really good excuse. In fact, my friend Holly Howard is here to discuss why I haven't been podcasting. It involves a documentary with a very important message; domestic violence and abuse have major impacts outside of the home where it occurs. I was honored to receive an award from the Teachers Appreciation Foundation. Founder and Executive Director Karim Muhammad delivered the award on a Saturday morning, so of course I had to get the whole thing recorded. It was a fantastic conversation ranging from teachers and role models, what it was like being a radio DJ in the 1990s, praise for a local OKC artist Jabee, and some serious talk about engaging parents in the classroom and taking care of your mental health. Also, there is a contest, but you have to listen for details! (Well, if it isn't past August 29, 2021, but I still would love for you to listen!)
