America should not sterilize drug addicts. This unethical and ineffective policy has been used as a means of population control and is not a valid solution to the problem of drug addiction. Sterilizing drug addicts would not solve any of the underlying issues of addiction, such as poverty, mental health issues, or a lack of access to education or health care services. Furthermore, it violates the human rights of those affected, and the decision should remain in their hands.
