This week, we started with a "simple" question: Should black people discuss our issues in public forums? The question became more complicated the more we talked about it, but the basic idea was-- Do we further empower, say, police brutality for example by laying out in a public forum our worse fears of police brutality and all of the tactics we plan to employ to combat it (i.e. defunding the police)? Should we employ more of a "house business" type of posture or should we speak truth to power no matter when, where or to whom?
