When they first hit our streets the idea seemed like a cheap and fun way of getting around Brisbane with little to no environmental impact, but e-scooters are dividing our communities. 

One thing is for sure that there are inherent risks with operating e-scooters and bikes.

Just yesterday, three people including a child were taken to hospital after three separate e-scooter accidents across Brisbane.

Active transport expert from the University of Queensland, Dr Richard Buning joined Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast to discuss the risks and concerns involved with e-scooters.
