Parenting Dyslexia Podcast

Should I feel guilty about my child's dyslexia?

Listen Later

In a recent survey 64% of the parents participating said that they felt guilty about their child's dyslexia.  In the same survey 89% of those participants reported that their children experienced poor self-esteem as a result of their dyslexia.  If dyslexia is often running in the family should we feel guilty as parents who may have passed the condition and resultant experiences to our children?  Or is our guilt more related to our own childhood experience?  Parenting Coach, John Hicks explores this topics and suggests some tips for managing those guilty feelings.
