Getting a dog is a huge life decision and the responsibilities that come along with a dog are commonly underestimated. Today, we discuss all of the questions you should ask yourself to decide whether or not right now is a good time for a dog.
This is a great episode to listen with your kids, spouse, or anyone who lives in your home, because this decision is theirs as well. Plus, you want to make sure you're not the only one doing all the work, because raising puppies takes a village!
Some of the questions we go over are..
-How committed are you? Now versus years from now.
-Are you about to go through a big change? Promotion, move, baby?
-If you work full time are you willing to pay for help?
-Is everyone else you live with on board?
-Are you getting suckered by the kids to finally get a dog?
-Is your lifestyle dog proof or adjustable to fit a dog?
-Can I have a dog where I live? Breed or size restrictions? Think ahead!
-Are you willing to spend money on quality food? Help? Regular check ups? Not just the minimum
& the list goes on!! Tune in for more!
