Last year, Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta: Facebook & Instagram) was in the same seat as Tik Tok's CEO Shou Zi Chew yesterday in front of the US congressional House Commerce and Energy Committee. It was a bipartisan effort to find out if China has been using Tik Tok as a surveillance tool threatening our national security, as well as if their algorithm negatively impacts our youth by feeding them dark topics such as suicide, eating disorders and misinformation in all areas including deadly health advice and/or "challenges".
