New rules have come in requiring passengers on public transport to use a face covering or a mask, what's not so clear is the expectation around mask-wearing in other public places. It's up to the individual to make the decision.

We asked whether wearing a mask should be mandatory? We heard from loads of callers all with very different views on both sides of the argument. We started by talking with ethicist from Massey University Dr Elspith Tilley.
