London, UK has some privacy experts concerned as they have announced they will be utilizing facial recognition software in public places to help combat crime within the city. According to some, these cameras pose a threat to personal privacy, and that has states around the world worrying about the practice coming to their cities. That includes Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario Brian Beamish who said in a statement his office would be “very concerned” if police in Ontario began to use this technology the way London intends to.
