This last week was interesting. We made a post saying that we feel it's okay to lash clients who have a stye. We had some very loving and kind lash artists contact us and inform us that they thought this was bad advice. 

At first, we doubled down and said that we didn't see what was wrong with lashing someone with a stye. It's been a while since we've given this issue some thought, and when we went back to our medical sources (and did some reading on the subject), we discovered we were wrong. UGH!!

In today's episode, we eat some humble pie and share what you should do with clients who come into your salon with a stye or chalazion. Tussanee gets a little nerdy (as she's prone to doing) and goes into what causes these medical conditions.

362. UV LIGHT SERIES: Maddi & Elliott From Light Heart Lash Discuss the UV Light Trend

Every year, when we wrap up LASHCON, we ask our attendees what they would like to see next year… One of the top requests is that we bring LASHCON to the East Coast because they say no one does events there. Now, that might happen in the next year or two, but until we bring our event out there, there is a huge need for an event to serve the East Coast lash community.

361. The East Coast Finally Has a Lash Conference in NYC…You Need to Check Out The Course

In today's episode, we continue our UV light series with the founders of Lash Apothecary: Olivia Knight, Curtis Knight and Ann Frehner. They have been distributing their OPAL UV light system for a while and have done a lot of research to make sure what they are selling is safe.
