Barefoot training has gained popularity over the years as the "functional training" trend has become more popularized. It used to be reserved for the extreme fitness enthusiasts, and those who wanted to wear goofy looking toe shoes to the gym. Working out without wearing shoes may seem strange to some people - especially for those who go to a "regular" big box gym. I can probably guarantee that most of them probably have a "no shoes no service" type rule, or maybe even an alarm to embarrass you in front of all of the other members for doing something against their rules (judgment-free embarrassment that is...) However, barefoot training has many benefits that if implemented correctly, can make a big difference for someone's health and fitness. In episode 84, we go into all of the benefits of training barefoot, and whether or not it is right for you.
