The rules of social media continue to change and evolve as each of the platforms evolve. But, one rule never changes. You're in control and in charge of what you post. There are no cookie-cutter rules around whether you should share details about your personal life in your professional content. 

You get to decide whether you share personal info, how much, and how often. Determine your own boundaries but keep in mind there are some things to consider when you decide to open up your personal life to your audience.
