When I was in my late teens or early twenties, my Dad told me, "Only have a partner if you have to." If you have the means and ability to do it alone, don't take on a partner. There are too many things that can go wrong and possibly ruin a friendship. Find a need and fill it. If you find something you are passionate about after finding a need, that's a huge bonus.
