EP 2: Today I'm joined by Sriya and Eric, two of my friends who are also current Year 4 medical students.

Why would you go rural during medical school? Is it true that the doctors are nicer? How difficult is it to be away from home?

We talk a bit about the rural experience, and they explain the rotations they went through and the teaching that was offered. We discuss how being away from home in a remote location, and living with medical student roommates can lead to medicine seeping into all aspects of your life.

More than that, we share stories from our first clinical year, identify improvements that we would like to make in future and highlight resources and activities which we found useful (and some that we found not so useful).
