* New Trailers - Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 and Logan.
* Joss Whedon says he'd be down for directing a Star Wars film. He said that the confines of Marvel's creative direction burned him out but after seeing Lucasfilm's direction doing standalone films such as Rogue One he'd be interested. In the same interview Whedon also gives his opinion on the differences he sees between Marvel and DC movies: I did not see Suicide Squad. I saw Batman vs. Superman. Everybody's got their own method. I think Marvel has been more successful systematically. DC has been more cinematic---their stuff looks amazing---but I feel like Kevin [Feige, President of Marvel Studios] is a really good storyteller. He really cares about coherence, and I feel like style never defeats substance at Marvel, but a little style creeps in.
* Donald Glover officially cast as Lando Calrissian in the young Han Solo movie.
* Tim Miller leaves Deadpool 2 over creative differences. It's rumored that the studio has sided with Ryan Reynolds to keep the film raunchy while Miller wanted a more stylistic film via his own F/X company. They say the clash began over the casting of the characters Cable and Domino. Miller was behind Kyle Chandler (Super 8 and Friday Night Lights) to play Cable but allegedly Reynolds was against the choice.
