* Doctor Strange has made $616 million topping Iron Man's record of $585 million. It's now the highest grossing Marvel film featuring a single character.
* It was reported that Cher almost played the Borg Queen but it's also been revealed that Eddie Murphy almost had a role in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home as the lead scientist working on whales. Murphy, an admitted fan, was Paramount's biggest star at the time but when the schedule didn't work, the character was changed female and played by Catherine Hicks.
* With many event films coming Rogue One is the latest film to break Fandango's single sales in a day record.
* Gareth Edwards has confirmed that Rogue One will not have an opening crawl. It will be replaced by a prologue flashback scene at the beginning of the film.
