On Monday morning, the controversial R. Kelly released a 19-minute record titled “Admit It,” on which he dismissed his longstanding sexual abuse allegations. Well, R. Kelly’s ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, has responded to “Admit It” with her very own remix. Find out what was said and what the crew thought?? Thanks in part to the #DoTheShiggy dance challenge, "In My Feelings" jumped to the top of the Hot 100 chart. Drake's third smash of 2018 returned to the #1 position for a second week. Drake actually owns 10 of the top 13 spots on that list. "In My Feelings" and "God's Plan" both broke unto the tally in 2018. "Harlem Shake" has two of the biggest streaming weeks of all time. In related news also, Ella Mai reaches radio charts milestone not seen since Beyoncé in 2012. Billboard reports "Boo'd Up" currently tops the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, Adult R&B Songs, and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts. This makes the British national the first woman since Beyoncé (“Love On Top”) in 2012 to pull off the triple win. BIG congrats to both Drizzy and Ella! For ALL of those Insecure fans, like it or not, there are a lot of changes coming to Insecure season 3, and the latest revelation will have those in the #LawrenceHive a little upset. Over the last several months, there have been murmurs that Jay Ellis’ character, who fans have witnessed go from not to hot, may not be returning. In saying so, Lawrence also doesn’t appear in the trailer for the upcoming season. We have the scoop on this, check this one out! Amber Rose has few new treats up her sleeve for her loyal Rosebuds. The activist announced her new, free app called Amber Rose Official. The staunch feminist shared that she decided to create it to help motivate and empower women to make their dreams come true. In addition to creating the app, Rose also plans on helping out her fans financially. Through the app, she'll help with paying rent, tuition and funding projects. Good job, Amber! In our segment topic this week, we discussed colorism in relationships; preferably African-American's. We had LOTS to say about this topic, which is and has always been an issue in the Black community. As always, you don't have to wait long...check back next week, the same time, same place!
