* We've lost Bill Paxton at 61 who passed due to complications of surgery. Paxton played small parts in many blockbusters that include, The Terminator, Weird Science, True Lies, Aliens, and Titanic but also found himself in major roles in Twister and HBO's Big Love. He recently starred on Agents of Shield and was also in a TV series adaptation of Antoine Faqua's Training Day. He will be deeply missed.
* Star Wars Celebration is getting close and it's rumored that the original unaltered trilogy will be announced for release on BluRay to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first movie.
* There are more actors rumored to be in the running to be cast as Cable in Deadpool 2.
* British actress Naomi Harris received the OBE award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace for her role in Moonlight. Before this role she played Eve Moneypenny in the last two James Bond movies. When asked who will be cast as the new Bond she replied that producers are counting on Daniel Craig's return and he'll likely be back.
* On Graham Norton Ian McKellan was asked why he was left out of Logan to which he joked, "When you become my age, you want to move away from these tired old franchises and on to something more fresh. I cry myself to sleep at night. I don't know why I'm not in it, darling."
* Mel Gibson has given an update on his progress to direct the Suicide Squad sequel.
* In a cool wink to the X-Files, The Walking Dead's Dwight, who is a main henchmen of Negan was shown pulling cigarettes from a pack marked "Morley's". This was the same brand smoked by The Cancer Man on the X-Files.
* The new X-Men series that has been announced by Fox and will tie directly into the film franchise has cast Stephen Moyer. Moyer, best known for his role as Bill Compton in True Blood will play a character named Reed who discovers his children have mutant powers and are targeted by the US government. He is the third actor cast and joins Jaime Chung of Once Upon a Time and Blair Redford of Satisfaction. Showrunner Matt Nix popular for Dexter has given no timetable of release but has confirmed Bryan Singer will be directing the pilot.
* Adam Nimoy son of Leonard Nimoy and director of the documentary was interviewed on TrekMovie.com. He spoke of the technology used to recreate Peter Cushing and Carrie Fisher in Rogue One and gave his thoughts on Spock returning to the franchise in the image of his father.
