Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2Timothy 4:32 Examples of auditors:1.The conveniently forgetful hearer (V 23): mirror’s purpose—to see what needs adjusting and do it2.Intentionally effectual hearer (V 25): Adjusts to the law of libertyTherefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-237 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.
