A lot of us struggle with reading feedback and the non-verbal cues from our environment. We tend to go inside of us to make sense of it rather than viewing things objectively and staying in the moment and staying closer to reality. My guest, Renee, offers us a valuable piece of insight from her friend who says, reality is so much kinder than what we think reality is.
Renee Sievert is a Master Certified Coach, an Equus Coach, a Certified Equus facilitator, and more. Renee joined me for this conversation from 2015 to talk about walking into the horse arena, what it's like, my own experience with it, vulnerability, and judgement all through the lens of showing up in your life.
A lot of our conversation centers around non-verbal cues and accurately interpreting the feedback we experience in our environment and day-to-day lives. Renee uses Equus Coaching to teach people how to understand their assumptions and shift them to better reflect the reality of situations. That shift is what helps people show up in their lives.
Renee also offers some really great questions that you can ask yourself. Be prepared to write them down! One of them is, what is it that I am not understanding about myself?
Listen to this episode to discover new ways of increasing self-awareness and receiving feedback, how failure and shame are intertwined, the ways that we project our feelings onto our environment, and more.
Your voice matters! Make sure you subscribe to the show and leave a review in Apple Podcasts. Tell me what you love and why you’re here and maybe you’ll hear a shoutout to YOU in a future episode!
