Nick is getting shredded for his wedding. We as a team have decided to explore alternative forms of fitness with him as he tries interesting ways to lose weight. Just ahead of their performance of Romeo and Juliet, the Joburg Ballet company allowed us behind the curtain for a lesson and look at what it entails to be company of their magnitude. Joburg Ballet’s repertoire includes full-length productions of major classical works, as well as shorter ballets, including original works created for the company by South African and international choreographers.
It is fascinating being around people who have dedicated their lives to this kind of art. Needless to say Nick, Nadia and Jude really enjoyed the experience, but found themselves rather stiff the next day.
