As the Mahabharata war begins, Arjun, filled with sorrow, drops his bow Gandiva and sits in his chariot, unable to fight his own family. Despite the Kauravas' past wrongdoings, including deceit and attempts on their lives, Arjun is troubled by the thought of killing respected elders like Bhishma and Dronacharya. Seeing Arjun's despair, Krishna reminds him of his duty and the righteousness of the war. He explains that the soul is eternal and urges Arjun to perform his duty without worrying about the results. This important teaching, known as the Bhagavad Gita, guides humanity on the path of righteousness and duty.
