Shroud's Complaint About Call of Duty

Listen Later

Twitch streamer Michael 'Shroud' Grzesiek, known for his expertise in first-person shooter games, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the progression system in the Call of Duty series. During a livestream of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Shroud explained that his biggest complaint is the necessity to unlock items and upgrade them gradually. He feels that this system forces players to be the 'worst version of themselves' until they unlock better gear, only to find that even better items are available after further progression. Shroud wishes there was a game mode where everything is unlocked from the beginning, stating he would play such a mode 'every day.' He compared this to games like Halo or Counter-Strike, where players have access to all weapons and attachments from the start, creating a level playing field. Despite understanding that the unlock system is a core part of Call of Duty, Shroud finds it frustrating and time-consuming.
