Now streaming on Shudder is the original 2011 version of The Houses October Built — and we had to check it out to see how it stacks up against the more well-known 2014 release.

What we discovered is a creepy, documentary-style film that blurs the line between fact and fiction, leaving you wondering... "This can't be real... can it?"
