David Rice (pseudonym) author of "Before You Open the Door", grew up Jehovah Witness since the age of 3.  David describes being raised "different" from the other kids he grew up with in his small town.  In his 20's, David began to question church doctrine resulting in his church leadership dis-fellowshipping David.  David's parents and a sibling remain in the church and follow the church's rule of having no contact with David or his family.  David discusses adjusting to life outside of the church and his efforts to advocate for those still in the church that may be looking to exit.
