Shutter follows Tun, a photographer, and his girlfriend Jane, who accidentally hit a woman while driving and flee the scene. Afterward, strange images appear in Tun's photos, which seem to show the ghost of the woman they hit. As the hauntings intensify, Jane uncovers that Tun and his friends were responsible for a horrific crime in the past. The film unravels the consequences of guilt and unresolved spirits, leading to a chilling climax​.
