SIBO and SIFO are two diagnoses that can indicate gut issues. Today we will go over what they are, how they are diagnosed and what you can do to treat them. SIFO(Small intestinal fungal overgrowth) can cause joint pain, fatigue, and headaches. This is a little harder to diagnose but there are a few ways to do so: looking at your tongue and seeing a large amount of white areas or seeing discoloration on your fingernails. SIBO(Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) symptoms include bloating, abdominal distention and can be diagnosed by using a food marble that can detect unwanted methane and hydrogen gasses in your gut. Treatment for these overgrowths can include diet change, taking berberine,oil of oregano, colloidal silver, and tongue scraping.
