Listen Later

Siddhartha is a book written by Herman Hesse in 1922. The book was originally written in German, in lyrical format. This is a public domain book that you can easily find online.

Siddhartha is the main protagonist in this story. You first learn of Siddhartha's home life, and his desire of seeking more knowledge and answers. Siddhartha eventually has an opportunity to witness and speak to the Buddha, and still, not satisfied with the perfection of the Buddha, chooses to seek his own way.
