Julie has type 1 diabetes and gives us the low down on all things diagnosis related, what Type 1 Diabetes is compared to Type 2, and how she manages this diagnosis as a fellow outdoors-woman! Join in as we learn about challenges, and successes, when getting outdoors with Type 1 diabetes.

Has the name Johnny Appleseed been living in your head rent free for the majority of your life but you have no idea why? We are here to tell you why! This outdoorsman was locked in as a part of American culture long ago, and while I'm not sure if they still teach about his life in school, those of us that are listening age certainly learned about him in elementary school. Leaf Peepin' is the time in CO (and in many other states in the U.S & Canada) where people flock form near and far to experience the change of seasons through the changing of the leaves. The Aspens in Colorado shift their green, shimmering, coin-like leaves into a vibrant yellow-gold, and it lasts for such a short time you'll be tempted to call out of work and head for the mountains to see them! It's basically your modern day gold rush, that lasts for just a month! Sure the traffic is awful on the weekends, but the views can't be beat.
