Based on Sigma’s new and unique Foveon X3 sensor, the Quattro can capture images of remarkable color, clarity and depth. But according to Doug, that’s only for certain subjects and under the right conditions.
The question is whether the quality is worth putting up with a camera with such a minimalist design, few features and a post-production workflow that’s frustrating at best. Is the Sigma DP2 Quattro really a cult camera as Doug claims?
