Our culture is defined by conditional allegiances. IF you do what I expect, THEN I will do what you expect. IF you love me the right way, THEN will I love you the right way. Conditional relationships with our spouses, with our families, with our friends, with our kids, with our bosses, with our barbers, with our baristas, with everybody. They all have requirements. Since conditional and transactional relationships dominate the way we relate to one another, do you think it’s possible we put conditions on Christ?
