Kannaki and Kovalan finally reached Madurai. Kavundhiadigal handovers kannaki to a women named Madhari.. Madhari helps them by providing shelter.Kovalan is penniless and destitute. He confesses his mistakes to Kannaki. She forgives him and tells him the pain his unfaithfulness gave her.
