Silas Munro earned his BFA from RISD and an MFA from CalArts. His design studio, Poly-Mode, primarily works with cultural institutions and community-based organizations including MoMA, the Walker Art Center, and the Wynwood nerighborhood in Miami, Florida. A seasoned and dedicated educator, Silas is currently an assistant professor at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles and a founding faculty member of the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Graphic Design. In this episode, we speak with Silas about the work he did for the catalogue and identity for Mark Bradford’s presentation as part of the U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
