In verse 1, the Psalmist acknowledges God as our "refuge and strength." Then each of 3 sections ends with a "Selah," perhaps indicating a pause to reflect.

1) When the world is upside down (vv. 1 - 3)

2) When the world turns against us (vv. 4 - 7)

3) "Be still and know that I am God" (vv. 8 - 11)
